So it is necessary to accelerate the development of food security which aims to realize national food sovereignty.
“We need to form a food production center. The Ministry of Agriculture does not work alone, it is accompanied by Commission IV of the Indonesian House of Representatives. We are working with the local government to make Wonosobo a pilot area,” he said.
With this, it is hoped that other regions will be able to follow the example of the success of the system built in Wonosobo.
On this occasion, the provision of agricultural assistance was also symbolically given 1 UPPO Unit to the Pacitan Pioneer Farming Group, Leksono, Wonosobo.
This assistance is worth Rp. 200 million and the Ministry of Agriculture’s program assistance for Wonosobo Regency in 2023 is worth Rp. 7,006 billion.

Meanwhile, Wonosobo Regent Afif Nurhidayat said he would continue to encourage the community to innovate to advance agriculture in Wonosobo.
Regarding the Wonosobo problem regarding waste, the Regent asked the community to use waste to make organic fertilizer.
“If we can turn waste into organic matter, of course this is a real contribution for farmers to the country and the welfare of society,” he explained.
Several areas in Wonosobo have also developed organic farming, especially vegetables. It is hoped that this can be expanded in various areas of Wonosobo.
The Regent added that the food estate program in Wonosobo also continues to grow. Farmers are starting to feel the results of this program.
“The fact continues to increase. At first it was difficult but after a while it increased, because there is certainty that all programs can be felt directly by the people,” he said.
